Our Desire to Serve

Welcome to the Relief Society!

This site was created for all women who live in the far-South Orange County communities of San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Dana Point, and Laguna Niguel, California.

Women of all religions, races, ages, occupations and hobbies live in our area. We are different in many ways, but two things we all share in common are a sincere desire to become better people, and a wish to serve those in need – both in our own small communities and around the world.

Founded in 1849, the Relief Society is the oldest continuously-operating women’s organization in the world. Our local chapter provides help to those in need and friendship to those who serve.

The Relief Society is affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but our work transcends religious and philosophical boundaries, and women of all religious persuasions are invited to participate with the Relief Society. We hope you will feel most welcome.

We invite you to visit this site often, and to join with the many women of the far-South OC Relief Society as we carry out events designed to build faith, strengthen home, family and community, and provide relief to those in need. We also hope that this site will serve as a resource for others, their families, their schools and their churches, as they seek and plan service activities within their own organizations.

We look forward to serving alongside you, and to strengthening each other and our communities through friendship and service. Please join us in the far-South Orange County Relief Society!
